History Revived (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a time-travel photo experience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

• Photos you upload: You choose a photo from your device or camera, and we send it to our servers to generate a period-themed version of the scene.
• Location data: With your permission, we collect your device location so we can anchor generated scenes to the real-world place where the photo was taken. Location is optional.
• Year and scene choices: The historical year, era name, scene prompts, and any captions or settings you select while creating a trip.
• Account information: If you sign in, we store your email address, username, and profile avatar. You can use many features without an account.
• Generated content: The images, scene descriptions, and facts we create for you, and whether you choose to share them to the public feed.
• Device and usage data: Basic device identifiers (such as OS version and app version), crash logs, and anonymous usage metrics to help us improve stability.
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers; Stripe provides us with a tokenized subscription status.

3. How we use your information

• To generate and deliver your time-travel scenes and facts.
• To place your scene accurately when you grant location permission.
• To authenticate you and keep your generated trips synced across devices.
• To enforce daily generation limits and process subscriptions.
• To display content you choose to share on the public feed.
• To diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the app.

4. AI and subprocessors

We use AI image and language models to create scenes and descriptions. Your uploaded photo and selected settings may be processed by our AI subprocessors solely to generate your output. We do not allow third parties to use your content for training their models, and we do not sell your photos or personal information.

5. Sharing and public feed

Generated trips are private by default. If you choose to share a trip to the public feed, that image, scene name, year, and related description become visible to other users. You can delete a shared trip at any time from your account.

6. Cookies and analytics

The app does not use traditional web cookies, but we may use analytics and crash-reporting tools that collect anonymous event and device data. You can limit analytics tracking through your device settings where available.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your uploaded photos and generated content for as long as you need them. You can delete individual trips from the app. If you delete your account, we will remove your profile and associated generated content from active systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain data to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and isolated backend infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to report any vulnerability you discover.

10. Children

History Revived is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice through the app or by email where appropriate.
